My soul to take

Cause Andy insisted; I was going to be all cool and disappear from the blog til New Year <_<

Bah XD

So I've been drawing a lot in SAI (since I'm too lazy to scan stuff while I' m at home for the holidays...) and I really prefer doing the lineart in that program than Photoshop.

I had a major artblock yesterday so I'm quite happy I was able to do something pretty good today :D

She is one of my (psychotic) characters, who is part of a tournament I'm currently holding back in DeviantArt, called "Battle Royale". She's pretty...nice... :3 Sort of...maybe... okay, I dunno :|

This whole artwork goes well with the prayer:

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul he keep
For if I die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul he take

Layout portfolio and horizaontal pan

Finally finished! The last. project. of the first semester! *girlish squeal*

And then here are a couple of the stuff I am considering of adding in my layout portfolio. Tomorrow, I was thinking of buying a portfolio solely for first year works, probably the ones I like or something.

Greatest artwork of randomness of all time

Yes.

So I got bored during lunch so I had everyone pitch it for an idea XD It started with cowboy and ninja brofisting and I think it ended with the aswang (monster) at the left corner.

So the whole thing is basically:
-cowboy and ninja brofists
-dolphin with a bomb
-astronaut kid with a christmas hat
-cake randomly popping out of the sand
-ballet male dancer in a tutu playing the bagpipes
-staircase to heaven
-bear vs shark
-Godzilla vs tornado
-random mustache floating in the water
-Superman breaking lightning
-Octopus humping a volcano
-Cookie Monster throwing vegetables in the air
-Captain Falcon "falcon punching" a werewolf (aka Jacob from Twilight)
-crab fighting cupcakes with winges
-pedobear chasing Michael Jackson (-_-)
-aswang (monster)

Final class collab of the year

So here's the final class collab of the year, featuring christmas elves :D And apparently, Pikachu's an elf.....?

First year first semester reel

Well here's (almost) all my works during first semester. I added the ball and tail after I finished the actual reel during digital tools. I'm quite content with my projects, my favorite being the marine animal and the second being the ball and tail (even though the 2nd time it comes back kind of sucks :( ) The song is Michael Buble's "I just haven't met you yet"

chameleons, snowmen, a princess and her guardian

So I'm being totally lazy right now. I'm supposed to write a 5 page essay but I'm forfeiting til like later. But do no fear. I've found a loophole to this whole thing :3

Anyways, Forgot to scan in the previous class collab from last week which were the chameleons, totally inspired by Tangled before (and still am *gleeful squeal*) And so sorry to the person's chameleon my scanner cut off -_-

And for this week, we had our first christmas theme and we did a snowman :D Like, seriously insanely creative snowmen :| Like holy crap guys. And Michel, our animation teacher even joined in on the fun xD
Shame not a lot of people signed it -_-

For Character design, Enzo had us choose an artist to research, so I did Glen Keane. I took one of my characters and made her all Keane style. It took so long, and it still doesn't even look like Glen Keane style *long sigh*

Here, I added a little romance with the princess and her guide/guardian (still really haven't made a decision on who he is) Thanks to Stacy Maynard, I was able to choose a great song for them to dance on. "Awake" by Josh Groban. Now I'm tempted to animate them dancing, but it would take a while though (probably during break).

Below, is some sort of storyboard kind of drawing of them two. One day, I'll get their profiles done :<

Life Drawings and so much more

I'm not really that impressed with any of my life drawings :/ Especially my 30's and 1's. They all suck I admit it -_- Still got a looong way to go. I really need to go to extra life and I will!!! (eventually ._.) Portfolios are due tomorrow *GASP!* and Bone is next week *dies*

I've also started practicing of Glen Keane's style. Since the only thing I'm good at are drawing women (and maybe skinny girl looking dudes), I find joy in looking at his works.

Plus also the fact that I have to practice on his style for the artist research next week. This is going to be fun :D Hopefully I won't have the urge to hide under the podium ._. I need to start talking in front of an audience again (and underwear thinking doesn't help). The girl drawn below is my own character. And yes, she's a princess, with a twist! She's a WARRIOR princess! (dun dun duuuuuuun!!!!) She doesn't have a name though :/ And the guy that's always with her is like her guide, or whatever. I don't really know yet.

Here's another favorite scene of mine from Tangled. that movie. Is. AWESOME!!!

Here's my character with her crown.  It's a shitty crown. I need to recreate it.

Oh, and here's a dude with a gas mask. Took me a freaking long time to get their clothes sit right. And it still doesn't look right at all! Oh, and they're genderless. I don't really know yet if they should be a he or a she. :/ Can't really decide yet.

I've also started sketching while watching animate films. Mostly the older non disney ones. Some are still disney. It's a good quick sketch practice. Most of these are drawn by observation.

Swan Princess was a b*tch to sketch. I couldn't get their younger selves right. Then when I went to draw * *(her name escapes me at the moment), I couldn't get her eyes right at all! FFFF-!

And then, Thumbelina. Aw,  I forgot how beautiful that movie was. I love the meeting of her and the prince. It was like "d'aaaw' moment right there.

And you all remember Jaquimo(spelling?) He's so pretty!I love his character design and even his personality >.<

Quest for Camelot was okay for me to draw. Don't get me wrong, movie was great, just had a harder time to draw them while they were moving. -_-;;

YES! Sword in the Stone! MERLIN! ARTHUR! Enough said.

I hated drawing Helga. Look how skinny her neck is! That was just fail right there :/ And I admit, I cheated on the mask. Mario from Digital Tools was talking so I had to pause the movie, and while I listened, I slowly started sketching Kida's mask. Yeah, Kida's face was never finished as well :(

FernGully! Hmm, when was the last time (before today) I saw this movie? After I watched some scenes, all these memories of when I was a kid came flooding back to me. It's still a good movie, but I didn't enjoy it that much

So there's my sketchdump for the day (actually mostly half of November and just decided to add them today xD)

I see the light

My favorite scene in Tangled. The most BEAUTIFUL scene I might add. Just breathtaking. And I think this is one of the reasons why Disney decided to make this in 3D instead of 2D, because the glowing lights would not be as effective. That scene was just breathtaking. No question. Hands down.

Hands and Feet and Royal Winter Fair

Here's my hands and feet; they're not really that great :/

These are the Royal Winter Fair studies/ I don't feel like submitting gestures :B
